Doesnt Work At Windows 7? Rate Topic: -----

Hey guys, i have a Problem, when i start Install Sid Meiers Pirates, i wait 5 minutes, then it Writes: "WARNING: Please Insert Sid Meiers Pirates!, 2" and there are only two buttons, OK, Cancel! when i push OK (after i insert CD2) i must wait 2 minutes, then the same Warning Comes Again,

I have Windows 7 Enterprice 64BIT

Odds are, it's because you have Windows 7 instead of XP. When Vista came out, there were similar problems. (Think of it like dealing with someone with Alzheimers who knows it's still 2002.)

I don't know exactly how Windows 7 works, but Vista had a XP-emulation mode for running older programs. If the same holds true for Windows 7, try starting that _before_ starting to install SMP.

Let me know if that does the trick.

Be prepared for a bit of hide-and-go-seek. In truth, M$ would _really_ like to have everyone with XP to "move on" and upgrade to Windows 7. They do this by making things awkward and inconvenient for those consumers that prefer to live in the past. That means the emulation is in there, somewhere, just to make the OS backward compatible, but just not real obvious about where it is.
