IMPORTANT NOTE: Please use common sense in using this utility, as it does have the potential to drastically change many of the game dynamics. Firaxis have put together a great game, and I encourage you to at the very least play it through a few times before resorting to the use of third-party programs to maximise your enjoyment.

Known bugs:
* Ship propels in reverse if boost is used when stalled
* Some adware programs may confuse the hotkeys segment of the trainer as being spyware, but this is not the case. The trainer causes no harm, nor transmits any information or modifies any files in any way, but it does place one dll which is used for its hotkeys catching capability in the windows system folder. This has been verified and found to be safe. Unfortunately, this is a drawback of trainers made with TMK (Trainer Maker Kit). If you wish you may remove the dll file upon closing of the trainer.

What is the use of trainers? I downloaded and installed one, only to find out that I could just about change anything in the game. Which was fun for about 5 minutes, but then it felt like cheating.

Is it to learn pirates? But isn't apprentice level not for learning?

Who is using trainers and whatfor?

I only use immortal lifespan,so the game stays the same,only now i can finish my game.In a second if i accomplish everything i want use a trainer,and see how far i come.Greetings.

Im not updating this trainer at the moment until a full version patch is out not the beta that is out now. This beta patch brings to much problems.

Excellent job.

Now my character can live for ever and the trips are a lot faster.


One thing thoug, it doesn't work with the no cd patch (I hate putting in and out a cd) but awsome program anyway.

Elbasto, what is the "no cd patch"? Does this allow playing the game without disk #2? I travel a lot and I would like to leave the disk at home.

No CD patch is a patch type thing, that let's you play the game without the disk. As far as I know it's illegal but it's not regulated at all. It's generally used for, if you have a friend who has the game they let you install it, and then you download the No CD patch and you give the disk back to them and you both get to play the game. I believe the No CD patch slows it down though.

wont this ruin the game experience, i have no interest in soemthing that would make pirates an easy game, i like some kind of difficulty. The aprentence setting is used for learning the game.

To me this just takes the fun out of it.

I know this is old but... I often use a No CD patch just so that I can play on my laptop but with a modular battery in the bay instead of the CD drive. It's also just nice to not have to swap CDs all the time.

Actually, I do believe you are allowed one legal copy of your game, but it may not be sold or distributed in any way. I've heard that somewhere, and sites that have no-cd patches and cd images and what not have that as their disclaimer. However, using it to run games you downloaded is illegal.

As to why people use trainers (or at least, why I do)? I've beat the game many times (more or less), including *EDIT* Rogue *EDIT* difficulty (I originally said swashbuckler, that is still hard for me). I didn't exactly do everything that I could possibly do, but I did most of it (killed the pirates, found their treasures, found my relatives). I found that when i was playing for real, I didn't have much time to mess around because i was concentrating on getting everything done. With a trainer I can do something as simple as keep myself young so I have more time. I try out the different ships or the different skills to see what I like. I think it is fun as long as you have already played the game a lot and got the value out of it.

And as for the real reason of this post, does anyone have a trainer that works with the new patch? Thanks

I'm just wondering how to get the trainer working period. If it works for the new patch, so much the better, but right now, it's now working at all for me.

this trainer looks really awsom but i bought the game about a week ago and i think this one came with the patch already installed i was wonderign if there where plans to update the trainer for version1.0.2.0(30927) buid of the game any answers would be greatly appricated thanks saling from one end of the map to the other is trying for me!!!! :wink:
